About Courtney
Courtney Dunn is a millennial, mum-of-two, working from her home studio on the sunny Gold Coast, Queensland.
While studying Journalism and Political Science at the University of Queensland, Courtney’s first encounter with a microphone was in 2010. Her playground: community radio.
She went on to conquer the airwaves as a newsreader at one of Australia’s largest commercial radio networks. Courtney’s love of broadcast and telling stories led her to a role on TV as a local news reporter.
In 2019, Courtney decided to take a plunge into the world of freelancing, launching her voiceover and podcast editing business.
As a founding member of the Australian Association of Voice Actors (AAVA), Courtney is passionate about protecting the industry from AI voice theft. Current technology makes it possible to clone someone’s voice without their consent and to promote products they are not affiliated with for profit—or worse—to pedal a scam. AAVA is working to legislate against this in Australia.
